IT Interns, Summer ‘08

Great paid internships are available in our Engineering/IT department.

We are currently interviewing for Summer 2008.

This is a great way to gain experience in software engineering and cutting-edge web development.

For example, our two summer ‘07 IT interns (both CS majors, one from UVA, one from Columbia University, one male, one female) built an internal reporting dashboard. They designed the application from the ground up, including project spec, mockups, database architecture, coding, interface, user testing, unit testing, interface testing, and optimization. When the presented their app to the firm at summer’s end, they received spontaneous applause. Their system is still in production use by over 20 employees each day.

One intern stayed on and worked part time during his senior year, providing lead database support to a project migrating a multi-million dollar catalog client onto a new e-commerce platform.

After graduation, our 2006 IT intern joined our team full-time.
