RKG Logo

I’m really delighted to make two position announcements today.

First, Steve Bosley has joined RKG as our VP of Marketing.

Steve has just the background we seek at RKG: he’s a sharp marketer, he’s got deep experience in both online and catalog marketing from the retailer side of the desk, plus he’s a really nice guy.

Before joining us, Steve headed up internet marketing for Plow & Hearth, a 1800Flowers.com company. At P&H, Steve managed the websites and online marketing for the flagship Plow & Hearth site, as well as all the specialty P&H brands including HearthSong, Magic Cabin, Problem Solvers, and Wind and Weather.

Keep an eye out for him around the trade shows and on this blog. Welcome aboard, Steve!

Second, Larry Becker has assumed the role of VP of Web Effectiveness, reflecting his role as our principal in this growing area of our business.

For the past year, Larry’s been splitting his time between handling our marketing and growing our web effectiveness consulting practice. (Steve’s taking on the marketing role Larry was handling.) Kudos to Larry for tackling the tough job of wearing two hats at the same time, and doing it with such grace and success. Now he can focus his full attention on our consulting practice, and that’s an exciting development.

That our consulting clients have seen real increases in their web results after following the recommendations of Larry and his team – and that these clients are coming back and requesting additional projects – those are testaments to the insight Larry brings to making websites work better.

My gratitude to the entire team of amazing folks here at RKG for their hard work and dedication as they help make our clients more successful online be that via paid search, natural search, and/or site effectiveness.

And finally, especially deep gratitude goes out to all our clients, for giving us the opportunity to serve you.

Thanks! Go team!

Congratulations Larry! Your fine consulting work for The Wine Enthusiast has had a significant effect on our entire business. It just dawned on me yesterday (while waiting in the airport for 5 hours in DC, trying to get home from the etail show) how brilliant it is for our SEM partner to also have an excellent web effectiveness practice. You send us a lot of Web traffic via SEM, and your web effectiveness practice helps us convert that traffic. It’s a perfect pair!
