From software-inn.blogspot.com, tweaks to increase FireFox speed.
- Open Firefox.
- Type about:config in the address bar (where you’d normally type in http://www.some-url.com).
- In the ‘filter’ box, type network to reduce the number of choices.
- Double click network.http.pipelining and set it to TRUE.
- Double click pipelining.maxrequests to 8.
Worked for me.
