Honest blogging: good. Less than honest blogging: bad.
Business Week outs a seemingly independent travel blog about the wonders of working at Walmart. Turns out the trip and writers were paid by — you guessed it — WalMart.
Nothing wrong about sponsorships. Walmart’s error was neglecting to disclose their financial involvement. Online comporate communication today (”PR 2.0″?) is about transparency and honesty.
