Microsoft Surface: Computing Sans Keyboard, Sans Mouse

Microsoft announces Surface, a no-mouse no-keyboard computer.

The site has been heavily dugg (5445 diggs as of this writing), and is suffering due to load, so be patient trying to get to the Surface microsite.

(Aside: Digg’s formidable role in PR and driving web traffic shouldn’t be overlooked by web marketers — more on digg to come.)

The computer keyboard evolved from typewriters, and typewriters date back to 1714. The computer mouse dates back 1964 .

Seems we’re probably about due for new paradigms for human-computer interaction.
