Holiday Sales: Mon 12/11 Still The Largest Of Sales Day of 2006

Last week, we predicted Monday December 18th would top Monday December 11th as the largest sales day for our clients in aggregate for sales driven by paid search. Looks like that prediction was wrong — from our perspective, two Mondays ago was larger than this last Monday.

Over the last decade, the rise of internet shopping has pushed the holiday sales peak later in the year. We’ll dig into this unexpectedly early peak more closely to see if it appears broadly true, or might have been skewed by some atypical holiday sales (B2B).
