George joined RKG at the start of 2013 as CEO. He has a long history of driving innovation in the digital industry. He is keenly interested in the intersection of Search and Social and the use of data to mine customer intent as well as building brands.
Until the end of 2012 George was the Global Chairman of Havas Digital, a digital network he formed in 1997 that now has more than 4,000 digital specialists. Under George’s leadership Adweek ranked Euro RSCG 4D (now Havas Digital) as the largest network globally.
George joined Havas in 1986 in Australia. He co-founded one their first digital agencies in 1995.
‘Before Digital’ George ran one of Havas’ most successful direct and CRM agencies. In 1996 George moved to Singapore as Regional Director. In 1998 he joined the global HQ in New York where in addition to forming and leading the digital network, he was the Global Brand Director across all disciplines on Intel, a client he worked on for 11 years.
From 2005 to 2008 George was the Regional CEO of Havas Asia Pacific based in Shanghai. In 2007 George led and won the largest pitch of that year which was for the integrated Dell business. Under George’s leadership Havas was regularly the leader in the region’s new business league and re-established the network as a creative force.
George retuned to New York in 2008 and continued to lead the global digital network, as well as Havas’ technology practice. George led the pitch for IBM’s global digital and social business and managed what is now one of Havas Digital’s largest digital clients for three years. He also won and led the global Intel/ASUS integrated relationship, as well as the Hershey’s digital relationship.
George is an accomplished industry speaker and thought leader. He has spoken twice at the Cannes International Advertising Festival, originally in 2001 and then in 2010. He has keynoted at industry conferences in the US, France, Turkey, Spain, Israel, Mexico, Brazil, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines and Australia. George has also led and judged on many international juries; most notably he was the President of the Cannes CyberLion Jury in 2002
